I haven't really been paying much attention to using traps with my hunter, but after considering the amount of trap recipes that are floating about, I'm wondering if I'm missing a large chunk of "being a hunter".

Does anyone have a good trap strategy? How many different kinds of traps do you carry around with you?

I been using traps with miosha quite a lot, it gives u good amount of cc hunter needs if u fight packs of enemies. Let's say I had not a very big interrupting problem if one mob gets to me in melee, but if I had three this could be a trouble - dps drops heavily cos using inductions skills become nearly impossible.
Tho I never really used all of them - most popular is a triple trap which places 3 circles at once plus ur trap skill and u can stop little army with that =) then u quickly deal with squishies then using fear and distraction will give u even more time and then - noone able come in close :)
I like also lure trap it's funny :) but it works only on animals perfect for duos like "npc with warg/wolf" or packs of animals.
Quick traps they say u can place even in combat, I tried that but normally u need alot of place to run around it luring the mob into it - fells like I spend alot of time doing that and more efficient simply go all-dps and just finish it faster than manoeuvre there with a quick trap.
Bear traps supposed to hold stronger mobs, sometimes big mobs just simply run thru the trap ignoring it - like braking it - in this case u might need to try bear trap, but it's only one trap :)
kind cat but has weak nerves =^.^=

Hmm.. .traps... For the most part the generic trap is more than enough to keep you safe as you are mostly encountering 1 on 1 mobs. However, this is ok in 2 v 1 situations also, just remember to take out the mob not in the trap first or else you waste the trap on releasing the trapped.... some mouthful huh !!

On the occasion, as mio so well put it, that you encounter a small army, triple traps as well as the generic trap does help to cc the crowd.

Use them, but consider before using... can you kill them fast or am i going to have issues.
